jellytoast comes to macOS

Welcome to the jellytoast blog — a small place to jot down what's going on between releases.

The headline: jellytoast now runs on macOS. It's a proper native app — Developer-ID signed and notarized, so it opens straight from the .dmg with no Gatekeeper warnings — and it brings the things that make a Mac app feel like a Mac app:

• the hardware media keys, plus Now Playing in Control Center and on the lock screen
• real window vibrancy behind the frosted chrome (and it honors Reduce Transparency)
• a native menu bar and a Dock transport menu
• Notification Center banners on track changes, and launch-at-login

Grab it from the latest release. A Mac App Store listing is on the way, too — that one is working its way through review.

With this, jellytoast ships for Linux, Windows, and macOS, with the same features on each.
